Lamanai South Lodge is located on the New River Lagoon in North Central Belize. The Lamani Mayan Ruins, one of the premier tourist destinations in Belize is located less than two miles away.
Our location on the New River Lagoon and in one of the best preserved jungles in Northern Belize grants us unique opportunities to experience nature in all her pristine beauty.

Lamanai South is situated on 52 acres of jungle bordering The New River Lagoon. Our complex has four individual suites located on the main floor and a 2000 sq. ft. common area with a kitchen , bar, dining room, restrooms, and large areas for lounging on the thatched roofed top floor.

Weekly and Monthly rates are offered at reduced rates and are quoted on an individual basis depending on the requirements of our clients.
The size of Lamanai South make us a perfect match for families, business groups or religious retreats desiring exclisuve use of our facility.

Access
Transportation to Belize International Airport is offered daily by American, Continental, US Airlines and Taca. The flight time to Belize is around two hours depending on the location departing the United States.

From the Belize International Airport to Lamanai South there are several options available to our guests:

At the airport you will find a wide selection of car rental agencies. Take the Northern highway to the town of Orange Walk and then thru several small villages to the New River Lagoon and your destination Lamanai South. A detailed map will be provided if this is your choice.

Or… Our staff will meet you at the Airport and escort you up the Northern highway to a point where you will be ferried by boat up the New River and finally to our private marina and Lamanai South.This is an incredible experience in itself.

If you desire to fly in or out an airstrip is located a few minutes away from Lamanai South.
This make a trip to the Cayes or others parts of Belize a short flight away, allowing you to continue on your vacation plans with little time lost.
